Dogs, just like people, are very unique. Not only in looks, but personality, behaviour and mannerisms.

Capturing a dogs essence with paper and pencil is more than just recreating a good rendering from a photo. It’s important to capture the little things. The things that make a specific dog just that one specific and unique dog. Be it a funny beard, a certain colour, a certain pattern or maybe one floppy ear.

Whatever it is that makes a dog unique, I strive to convey this uniqueness with my illustrations.
